Families from across Hampshire will have the chance to meet the world’s favourite little blue tank engine this Easter, when Day Out With Thomas returns to the Watercress Line for 10 days from 13th-22nd April 2019.
New this year, station sweeper Rusty will be joined by his partner in crime Dusty. The dynamic duo will help to bring the world of Thomas and his friends to life with storytelling and mischievous magic performances.
There will also be an array of exciting family friendly activities across all of the railway’s stations, including vintage fairground rides, and unlimited trips behind the famous engine as well as the Watercress Line’s home fleet and miniature railway.
Not forgetting a diverse food court at Ropley Station, boasting something to satisfy all taste buds – from sweet treats at Cookie Bar Bus, to fresh salads and wraps at Hot Mess, to woodfired pizza at Pizza Horse Box.
There will be two new food offerings at Day Out With Thomas this year too: Hopes Entertainment and Charter 1227, serving candy floss, and burgers and sausages, respectively.
Woodies Mountford, Marketing Manager at the Watercress Line, said: “We’re delighted that Thomas will be returning to the Watercress Line this Easter.
“With the addition of Rusty and Dusty, fairground rides and new food offerings, Day Out With Thomas promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family.”
A second Day Out With Thomas event will take place at the Watercress Line from 3rd-11th August 2019.
