Casting has been announced for Salisbury Playhouse’s family pantomime, Aladdin, which runs from Saturday 3 December to Saturday 7 January. Director Ryan McBryde and writer Andrew Pollard return following their hit Cinderella last year.
Richard Ede, whose stage credits include Horrible Histories and The 39 Steps, plays Widow Twankey and the evil magician Abanazar is played by Lynden Edwards, whose musical theatre credits include The Sound of Music at the London Palladium and Dirty Dancing.
Aladdin is played by Tyler Fayose with Rebecca Hazel as Princess Jasmine and Fred Broom as the Emperor. Completing the cast are Melissa Brown-Taylor as Genie of the Lamp, Tessa Kadler as Wonton, Domonic Ramsden as Dim Sum and Nerine Skinner as Genie of the Ring.
Journey with them to China as they take us on a wild adventure with plenty of laughs along the way and songs audiences will know and love.
The creative team is completed by designer Juliet Shillingford, choreographer Grant Murphy, musical director and arranger Christopher Peake, lighting designer Matt Haskins and sound designer Mark Noble.
